Established in 1962…. The Rollings Stones pioneered and defined hard rock music. Rocking the world through 7 decades…59 years and still going strong!

And check out my photo with “ROCK-GOD” Keith Richards.

When Mick Jagger and Keith Richards met in 1950 and became childhood friends they had no idea that they would become one of the GREATEST ROCK BANDS OF ALL-TIME. If you know anything about rock music, you know something about The Rolling Stones. If you love rock music you know a lot about The Rolling Stones.

When I was a kid you were either a fan of The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. Hard-core Beatle fans took a little longer to embrace the grittier, harder sound of The Rolling Stones. It did not take long until music fans loved both bands. When The Beatles broke up in 1970, fans deemed The Rolling Stones “The Greatest Rock-n-Roll Band in the World”. At the time no other band could rival their live performance. From the start of every show till the end fans felt compelled to jump out of their seats and cheer through every song. Their playlist contained HUGE hits because many “Stones” songs became “hard-rock hits and anthems

I could go deep into every Rolling Stones album but that would take my Blog to a book. They have released thirty studio albums and sold more than 240 million units worldwide.

When The Rolling Stones came to Los Angeles in 1969, I begged my mother to let me go to the concert. My father would have said no, but my mom was a musician and a fan of music, so I went directly to her. Getting a ticket was an ordeal, It meant doing a lot of extra chores to get the $4.50-$7.50 for a ticket to the concert. The “Stones” roll into Los Angeles this week for 2 LIVE SHOWS. Today tickets range from $130.00 to an average price of $373.00 per seat.

Back in the day most fans would camp outside the venue to buy tickets to concerts. Sleeping bags would line the parking lot loaded with fans hoping to get a good seat (or any seat) for their favorite bands. As a teen I spent many nights in the parking lots and on the sidewalks of venues to see “EPIC” shows. I would line up to buy concert tickets and line up at my favorite record store to buy new albums from my favorite bands.
