Child Prodigy to Billboard Chart Topper

At just 10 years old, Gabi Wilson (H.E.R.) showcased her talent on the Today Show, performing an Alicia Keys song. Young Gabi flawlessly played the piano and passionately sang this difficult song. Following her performance many shows clamored to book Gabi. She had the full attention of Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres, and both helped spread the word about this gifted music prodigy.

After a massive amount of press and several high-profile performances Gabi grabbed the attention of Sony Entertainment and RCA Records. At the young age of 14 she signed a recording contract.

Gabi would now perform with her new name of H.E.R. which stands for “Having Everything Revealed”. Going forward she would reveal everything about herself…her thoughts…her passion and her emotion through H.E.R. music.

After releasing one single which was cleverly titled “Something to Prove” she dropped off the scene to prepare her first project for the label. H.E.R. wrote a lot of songs during this time which led to the release of several E.P.’s which she released  throughout 2016. The debut E.P was titled H.E.R. Volume 1, and shortly after she released four more. Volume 1 captured the attention of many new fans for her cover of Drake’s “Jungle”.

In 2017 a compilation of her first and second E.P. was released, with 6 additional songs. This first album was simply titled “H.E.R.”. The album received high praise from other artists as well as millions of new fans.

The compilation quickly shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart. On February 10, 2019, the world watched as H.E.R. started her collection of Grammy’s to include the highly coveted “Best New Artist” award and the Grammy for “Best R&B Song”. The next year she continued to bring home two more Grammy Awards for “Song of the Year” for “I Can’t Breathe” and she picked up her second Grammy for “Best R&B Song” for “Better Than I Imagined”.

H.E.R. has accomplished so much in her 23 years on this planet. With the current space-race to visit more planets and her young age she may be our first musical STAR to perform among the stars of space.

So basically, I am saying the skies the limit for H.E.R.

I recommend starting at the beginning of this gifted artist’s career and give a listen to the release that captured the hearts of music fans and proved why she was and remains the “BEST NEW ARTIST” of 2019.
